This is the Work (web version)
Resources for practical anti-racism
Introducing This is the Work
Through consultation with 80+ policy and advocacy staff in international development, we developed resources to support anti-racist and decolonial approaches in policy and advocacy. Designed for staff at all levels, we aimed to create shared understanding with clear definitions and practical guidance.
Resource 1 – Applying anti-racist and decolonial approaches to policy and advocacy
Change the way you work to become actively anti-racist. This is the Work was designed with and for people working in policy and advocacy and staff working in INGOs which includes policy staff, public affairs staff, campaigners, researchers and leaders.
Resource 2 – Research and key summaries
A slide deck summary of key activities delivered jointly by Bond and Peace Direct considering how to apply anti-racist and decolonial approaches to policy and advocacy work following workshops with advocacy professionals and surveys.
Resource 3 – FAQs: Responding to common arguments against adopting an anti-racist or decolonial approach
This resource was developed in response to feedback from policy and advocacy staff across the Bond membership and peacebuilding communities who identified a need for practical tools to help them to respond to arguments against adopting anti-racist and decolonial approaches.
