GDPR resources
5 November 2018
With the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) due to be implemented on 25 May 2018, we have collated some useful resources that support NGOs:
- In November 2017, Daniel Fluskey wrote a piece for us on 5 points to consider when your organisation is preparing for GDPR
- The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has published a series of support guides for organisations, with a final guide on consent
- The ICO has also created guidance on other areas relating to the legislation [PDF] and on suggested clauses for contracts [PDF]
- The law firm Two Birds has created a chapter by chapter breakdown on the key tenets of the regulation and how it can affect your organisation. Their chapter on the transfer of personal data overseas engages with the international element of the act
- The Small Charities Coalition has developed a GDPR toolkit for small organisations (with income under £1 million)
