President Trump’s comments on Gaza – Bond reaction

Following President Trump’s recent comments proposing to remove people from the Gaza Strip and put the territory under US control which would be a breach of international law, Romilly Greenhill, CEO of Bond said:

Trump’s proposal to remove Palestinians from Gaza and establish US control represents a dangerous violation of international law. Though the UK government, including Starmer and Lammy, have appropriately rejected this stance and affirmed Palestinians’ right to return home, mere statements of opposition are not enough. The UK must now demonstrate real commitment through action – facilitating humanitarian assistance delivery, advocating for an indefinite ceasefire, and firmly resisting any attempts at forced displacement and violations of international law.
