Bond response to UK aid allocations 24/25
Responding to the UK Official Development Assistance allocations for 24/25 released today, Gideon Rabinowitz Bond’s Director of Policy Advocacy and Research said:
“It’s encouraging to see the UK government significantly increasing its funding allocations to Africa, and beginning to repair the damage caused by devastating cuts over previous years.
“However, the government could have gone further in prioritising the countries that need support the most, as a significant portion of additional funding is being directed toward BII, an institution with a less-than-stellar track record of prioritising these countries”.
ENDS.
