Bond statement on the potential escalation between Israel-Hezbollah

Bond has released a statement on the potential escalation between Israel and Hezbollah.

The recent escalation of cross-border tensions between Israel and Hezbollah is deeply concerning. We call on all parties involved to deescalate tensions as a full-scale war would have devastating consequences for the entire region.

The current situation is already having a significant impact on communities on both sides of the Lebanese-Israeli border. Tens of thousands of civilians on both sides have been displaced from their homes, enduring months of uncertainty and disruption. The conflict has also led to extensive environmental damage, including major forest fires triggered by cross-border attacks.

The UK government must collaborate closely with its Middle Eastern allies and the broader international community to de-escalate the situation and work towards a peaceful resolution. Proactive diplomatic engagement is urgently required to prevent another humanitarian crisis in the region.

ENDS.
