Dr Susannah Pickering-Saqqa is senior lecturer in International Development with NGO Management at the University of East London and programme leader of the MA Media, Communication and Global Development. Her doctoral research explored the domestic poverty programmes of four INGOs and changing conceptions of development.
She has recently undertaken research for Islamic Relief’s Humanitarian Academy for Development on domestic programming and is currently working on projects to investigate the role of dignity in menstrual health outcomes in rural India, map SDG progress in Newham and Tower Hamlets and build research capacity in Ethiopian universities.
