Nicola leads the advocacy work at Action For Humanity, the umbrella organisation of Syria Relief. She leads the UK Syria Advocacy Working Group/the Syria-Turkey Earthquake Response Working Group and plays an active role in the regional Yemen Advocacy Working Group and the Syria Regional INGO Forum. Nicola previously co-chaired the GAPS Sexual Violence in Conflict Working Group.
Nicola’s focus is the retention of commitments to conflict situations, from emergency response and early recovery to reconstruction, conflict prevention and development. Prior to AFH, Nicola worked in advocacy on a range of issues including gender equality, peacebuilding and climate.
