Natalie has worked with non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations, academics and community groups developing and delivering advocacy strategies, communications strategies and monitoring and evaluation frameworks. She has worked in east, central and west Africa, the Caribbean, east Asia and Europe. Her work has influenced policy, practice and investment in emergency food crisis response, smallholder agriculture, nutrition, fisheries and whaling.
Natalie specialises in delivering change through citizen participation in policy processes, evidence based lobbying, policy working groups, social movements and digital engagement. She designs and delivers advocacy training and coaching and facilitates advocacy planning workshops.
Natalie currently works for the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) where she leads communications and advocacy capacity development on a sustainable diets and citizen agency programme. She has a BSc in Information and Publishing Studies.
