Melisa is a development practitioner specialising in child and youth programming. Driven by the commitment to education for all, she is passionate about the empowerment of children to expand and achieve their potential through formal and non-formal learning.

She currently works as Partnerships Manager-Africa at the London office of BRAC, a Southern-led organisation, to support the development of partnerships for programming in East and West Africa. Previously she worked for over 7 years in East Africa in child rights-focused programmatic, business development and leadership roles.

Melisa holds an MSc in Development Management with a specialisation in Education Policy from the LSE (2014). She is currently serving on the steering committee for Bond’s working groups on child rights and changing donor policy and practice on localisation.
