Maureen Cherongis serves as the media and external relations officer for Amref Health Africa responsible for media relations strategy and execution across Africa.
A chartered public relations practitioner with more than six years of strategic communications and public affairs engagement experience, she is committed to changing the African narrative by showcasing compelling stories that reflect the efforts of improving Africa’s development agenda.
Maureen holds a Bachelor Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and a post Graduate Professional Diploma in Public Relations from Chartered Institute of Public Relations in the UK. She is currently pursuing a Masters programme in Foreign Policy and Diplomacy. Maureen is passionate about primary health care, gender equality, and digital communication. When she has time to breathe, Maureen loves to travel as far and wide as time permits.
