Joanna Moody

Partnerships and Advocacy Specialist

UNICEF

Joanna is currently seconded as a Partnerships and Advocacy Specialist within the Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships and Advocacy team at UNICEF, working on the Global Coalition for Youth Mental Health.

Joanna also leads the UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF)’s domestic policy and advocacy work on child mental health and wellbeing – working with government, civil society organisations and rightsholders to advocate for change in the UK. This work has a particular focus on the early years, including support for caregiver mental health.

Before joining UNICEF, Joanna spent five years in the civil service, working on a range of high-profile policy areas across government departments. This included leading a team on mental health policy at the Department for Health and Social Care, working on policy development across the mental health workforce, eating disorders, and international mental health engagement – including the UK delegation for the 2021 Global Ministerial Mental Health summit.
