Prof. Dr. Huib Huyse is head of the research group sustainable development at the Research Institute for Labour and Society (HIVA-KU Leuven). A substantial part of his research and evaluation work is policy- or practice-oriented and covers topics related to global development and development cooperation. Thematically, he specialises in research on responsible global value chains, decent work, the role of civil society organisations in low income countries, and citizen science. He is the chair of a research chair on decent work and the SDGs and teaches the course ‘Labour governance in global value chains’ at KU Leuven.
