Ellen is a Communications Officer with the Aga Khan Foundation, carrying out journalistic work with a focus on the challenges and opportunities facing underserved communities globally. A journalist-by-training, and with a background in the arts, culture and heritage industries, Ellen has held roles at Iziko Museums of South Africa and ART AFRICA Magazine – and moved to working in international development following the completion of her MA in Art and Politics from Goldsmiths, University of London. Since joining AKF, she’s reported on international affairs, the impacts of climate change, and educational reform in some of the world’s most remote schools.
