Dr Boris Verbrugge is a senior researcher at the research group on Sustainable Development at HIVA-KU Leuven, where he is currently involved in policy-oriented research on global supply chains and on the role of civil society in transforming these supply chains. In addition, he works as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Development Policy at the University of Antwerp, where he is involved in a research project on informal gold mining.
