Clare Nolan joined SOS Children’s Villages UK as a Programme Manager in 2021 where she supports effective development and quality management of international development programmes and related awards (grants and contracts). Prior to this, Clare worked in programme roles for small and medium UK-based NGO’s working with civil society organisations in sub-Saharan Africa on education and livelihoods portfolios.
Clare holds an MA in Global Issues and a postgraduate award in Gender and Social Inequality from The University of Winchester and the University of London’s School of Oriental and Africa Studies (SOAS) respectively. She is also a Trustee of African Adventures Foundation- a community development organisation working in Kenya, Ghana and Zanzibar, and is a Steering Committee member of the Bond working group, Practice for locally led development.
