Clare has worked in the social change sector for over 20 years and joined Radar from Comic Relief where she was Head of Funding and responsible for global strategy, programme design and was instrumental in the shift to direct funding for African organisations, inclusive and participatory grantmaking and ethical storytelling. Prior to this Clare worked with Homeless Link setting up the central government-funded Homelessness Transition Fund, London Councils leading the pan London grants programmes for Homelessness and Youth and for Hackney Council in community funding and youth work. Clare is passionate about people powered change and the power of stories and lived experiences to shift attitudes and build power at a community level. Outside Radar Clare is Chair of The Wish Centre (Harrow) supporting young people who self harm and have mental health issues and works as a freelance consultant and grants assessor.
