Benard Lisamadi Agona is currently the team leader of Africa Center for nonviolence and Sustainable Impact- AfriNov, a peace building and nonviolence training and advocacy organization based in Kenya. Agona is a pastor by calling and a peace and social change activist for the last 20 years with vast experience in grassroots mobilization and advocacy work. Together with other Kenyan based peace practitioners, Agona established a locally led organization to be able to spear head pro-active peace building activities in Kenya and by extension reaching out to other African countries as need will arise with availability of funds.
Agona was appointed to be the pioneer executive director with the major role of offering leadership and developing partnerships and networking with other, both local and international organizations. His main task has been resource mobilization.
